Hampton Beach State Park Gala Opening

Hampton Beach State Park celebrated the new facilities and overall redevelopment of the Park at a Gala Opening.   In May 2010, Governor Lynch officially broke ground for the project and on June 1, 2012 he proudly cut the ribbon officially opening the Seashell Complex to the public.

Other state and local officials were on hand for the event, praising the project and recognizing the potential to attract more families to the Park and rejuvenate the rest Hampton Beach.

The redevelopment project started in November 2001 when the Hampton Beach Master Plan was adopted.  In 2008 Samyn-D’Elia Architects of Ashland, NH were selected to do the planning and design of the buildings and site development of this park that offers recreational facilities for thousands of visitors.  In the summer of 2009, Samyn-D’Elia Architects as the project leader. designer and architect, developed the construction documents for the project.  In May 2010, Governor Lynch officially broke ground for the project.



During the next year and a half , the old seashell building was demolished and five buildings and site work were under construction.
